Write Stuff is now CLOSED! If you did not follow the instructions and note your entry to us, then it does not count! I got lazy and gave you the rest of the day here to turn things in but we are now officially not accepting any more entries! Thank you everyone who took this opportunity, we hope the rest of you stick around for our next Spectator Event! Judging will start tonight and finish whenever we finish. I'll post up results as soon as we have them.

Alright listeners! You shouted and we heard! (And boy are you lucky we like false deadlines-) The deadline for Round Two of the Tournament is now Sunday Night. Friday is rough when you've had school and work all week, we saw this one coming, but this is the FINAL DEADLINE for this round! NO MORE EXTENSIONS AFTER THIS! So wherever you are in your comic, refined or not, make sure it's legible and the story is complete, you can always go back and touch things up later at your leisure.

Write Stuff is still due tomorrow night! Aim for Midnight your time zone but there's a grace period of whenever-we-post-the-cut-off-journal in the morning.

Due to the various outcries for an extension (To which we were so tempted to whisper "No" to,) We are granting BOTH the Write Stuff contest and Round Two an EXTENSION.  That's right! We'd prefer you all get your school work done and still produce us some rad comics and stories! So do not fret, but PLEASE use this time to your advantage!

This just in, listeners! While our survivors struggle against terrible odds, some weren't as lucky...

That's right, authors!  You guys get to join in the fun too!  Besides our cast, there used to be millions of people in the City.  Unfortunately, they have now been turned into zombies.  But they weren't always that way!  They once had a life beyond scouring for brains; they were people.  They had their own friends and family; they worked and played and loved.

Your task is to write the story of a person who lived through the initial outbreak and did not survive.  Essentially, you're writing the backstory to one of the faceless zombie horde!  Your entry could be funny or deadly serious or somewhere in between.  

For this spectator event, all entries must be in written form.  When you’re done, note your entry to the DeviantDead account.  They're due in February 10th, 12th 2010 at 11:59pm.   The winner of the contest will receive one free chibi from Toshiful.


FAQ
I want to write about my furry dragon wingacorn, can I?
No you cannot.  Since this more or less like the audition process, we’re going to ask that you keep your characters human-only.

Can I enter a comic?
No.  Unlike the rest of the contest, this must be in written form.  That means words.

What about a poem/haiku/song?
Go for it!  Those are words, aren’t they?

What about a 40 chapter long epic?
Err, if you can get it done in about a month, that’s cool.  But remember we’re going to have to read this stuff.  Quality over quantity is important here!

I didn’t originally audition! Can I enter?
Of course!  This is open to everyone.

Do I have to enter with the character I auditioned with?
You can if you want, but you don’t have to.

I’m a contestant.  Can I enter?
Of course!  Go right ahead.  But make sure your round 2 is done first!
