Good evening again, faithful listeners in the dark! This is DJ Voice broadcasting live from Center Square. Possible theories for where the outbreak might have originated point towards the South and South East of the City. Since the river cuts off possible escape in the Southern Side, government helicopters have been spotted circling the northern region for possible survivors. Some relief outposts have been sent but the one here in Central has been abandoned, and chances are the rest are in similar shape. Be quick survivors! Raiding and looting has already made your survival rations scarce, but there are definitely places to find supplies all around the city still. We take a moment now to remember the dead, but do not be ashamed, my survivors, bread and bullets are more useful to the living than the dead. This is DJ Voice, signing out.

ROUND ONE: Survival of the Fittest

While DJ Voice's broadcast breaches the static of The City, our survivors must join forces to try to live despite the dead closing in around them. Contestants are free to interpret DJ Voice's broadcast however they please, or ignore it entirely, but one thing is mandatory this round: One of you must die. By the end of this round's comic, someone must be dead. Maybe they saved you, heroically sacrificing themselves. Maybe they fall victim to the undead hoards through your character's cowardice or selfishness. Maybe they got a bit too trigger happy with their protective rifle. Maybe there's accidental friendly fire. However the cause, there should be some funerals to attend.

Does this mean this is the end for the few who will not pass this round? Of course not! This is a zombie Apocalypse, after all- those who fall become familiar faces amongst the dead, hopefully striking a very personal note to the remaining survivors along the way into the future.
